Colac Secondary College was established in 2008 after a merger between Colac High School and Colac College. In 2010, staff and students were in their first year of being located on one campus. The College is arranged in Learning Communities which includes years 7 and 8; year 9; and years 10, 11 and 12. Each group has their own physical space and surrounds, pastoral care and curriculum relevant to their stage of development. In addition to our Learning Community buildings we have a new Science wing and Library and Learning Centre that is based on a partnership with the local community. Future funding will ensure the completion of the school which includes Performing Art and Art / Technology wings. Colac Secondary College aims to provide a safe and supportive environment of life long learning where respect, diversity and pride are valued by all. The College links with community to provide a depth of extra curricular activities and leadership opportunities for students and we encourage and value studnet voice, leadership, academic achievement, sport, performing arts, debating and public speaking, cultural and artistic achievement. Colac Secondary College strives to respond to the needs and expectations of parents and the community by providing educational programs that cater for a variety of learning styles, student needs and ambitions. The sucess of our new school will be based on the positive relationships developed by staff, students, parents and the wider community. We provide a supportive learning environment that values, encourages and extends all learners.
