Newcomb Secondary College caters for 660 students in Years 7 to 12. Our College staff consists of: three Principal class, 62 teachers and 22 Educational Support Officers. Our purpose is to provide a challenging, friendly, caring environment that engages each student to work to achieve their personal best in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation; which helps to support pathways to positive post school outcomes. The College provides a broad choice of senior programs through the VCE, VET, VCAL and School Based Apprenticeships. Enrichment opportunities are diverse, including a well established and highly respected Program for Students with Disabilities, Instrumental Music, with four bands and a selection of ensembles, the production alternating with the Rock Eisteddfod are highlights in the student calendar and the ‘Bike Tour’ is an end of year feature. The College is a UNESCO associated school and has relationships with schools in Indonesia and Japan. The College has in recent times had an extensive upgrade and a new Language Centre is nearing completion. The College operates the Victorian Sailing and Water Safety School from its Geelong, Eastern Beach campus. This unique venture, established during Victoria’s 150th Anniversary celebrations, introduces Victorian school students to the skills and pleasures of sailing.
