Sacr? Coeur is a Catholic Independent School for girls from Prep to 12 founded by the French Society of the Sacred Heart (rscJ) in 1888.The five Goals of Sacred Heart Education are fundamental to the school. We are deeply concerned for each student's total development: spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. A Sacred Heart school emphasises serious study, social responsibility, personal growth and resilience, wise decision-making and lays the foundations of a strong faith. Sacr? Coeur provides an academically oriented education, offering a wide range of subjects and activities to prepare our students for higher education. Music students have many opportunities to perform. Every year there is a school play or musical and our junior students participate in their own Joigny Musical. Student art from all levels is exhibited in our Annual Art Shows. We provide inter-school sporting opportunities in many sports through Girls Sport Victoria, together with competitions in swimming, athletics and cross-country. There are opportunities for exchanges with our four sister schools in Australia and New Zealand, or 150 Sacred Heart schools in 44 countries.
