The Henry Lawson High School is a co-educational comprehensive school located in historic Grenfell. It has a strong tradition and reputation for excellence in academic, sporting and creative arts pursuits. As the local high school is in a small rural community, it has sustained strong links with the parents and local community. Many of the students travel from small farming communities. They are friendly, polite and readily take advantages of the many programs that the school offers from the band and choir, a variety of sporting teams, sheep and cattle preparation programs, public speaking and an active student leadership team. The school is well-resourced, with the Stan McCabe Oval, an outdoor learning area set amongst a native garden, along with the latest technology in classrooms presenting a learning environment that is both cutting edge and attractive.
