Students experience an integrated approach to curriculum and support programs which target their specific needs across all the key learning areas. Student learning is enhanced and supported by access to a wide range of resources, in particular contemporary learning technologies and modern facilities. Teachers hold high expectations for the children at Holy Cross to achieve their personal best in their learning. Students' progress is rigorously assessed using a wide variety of resources. It is then monitored and supported by differentiated programs designed to meet the child’s particular needs. National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) data is one tool used by the school community to reflect on areas of success and identify those areas that require ongoing development. NAPLAN results in 2010 demonstrate that our students performed above the national minimum standards in both literacy and numeracy. Students at Holy Cross are able to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities including dance, verse speaking, chess, gardening, Tournament of the Minds, creative arts, numeracy challenges and thinking groups. The school offers a wide variety of sports such as swimming, athletics, cross-country, netball, soccer, basketball, football and cricket.
