St Michael's School is a Catholic primary school in Berwick, within the parish of St Michael's. We have approximately 370 children with 14 classes, two at each year level. Each person in St Michael's school community experiences positive relationships and contributes to an environment that nurtures and welcomes. We provide a stimulating educational environment which develops critical, independent learners. The experience of our community is centred on the person and teaching of Jesus where each member can find meaning and value in their life. We offer an extensive and challenging curriculum with specialist classes held in performing arts, creative arts, physical education and library. The children in Years 3-6 have access to Italian and Japanese classes. All learning areas are modern and air conditioned. Our grounds include hard court areas, three adventure playgrounds, three sandpits and an all-weather artificial turf oval. Our new indoor basketball stadium with retractable seating will be completed in 2010. We value the learning of each child and provide extra support in a wide range of areas including literacy and numeracy intervention at both ends of the learning scale.
