Altona North Primary was established in 1965 to serve a rapidly growing residential community. The workforce of Altona North Primary school is 23.8 equivalent full-time staff, 2 Principal class,19 teachers and 9 Education Support Staff. Since its inception the local community has gone through significant demographic changes. Our student population has stabilised at 330 students and the school caters for a diverse range of cultures. We have close connections with the local community and we are strongly supported by an active group of dedicated parents. Our facilities are well maintained and provide contemporary classrooms suited to current curriculum programs. Altona North Primary is focused on inspiring student learning. We strive to challenge students, staff, families and the wider community to be the 'best they can be' socially, emotionally and academically.
