Echuca South Primary School is located near the Campaspe River in Echuca and provides quality education and care to our students. The students come from our local neighbourhood. This gives our school a strong community feel. We value academic and social growth with environmental awareness to develop the whole student in line with our beliefs. We promote values of being supportive, respectful and inclusive to our whole community. We have an emphasis on literacy and numeracy improvement, which is supported by equivalent full-time staff of two Principal class, sixteen teachers and six Education Support Staff. The school has a vibrant culture offering a balanced and comprehensive curriculum with extensive assistance programs focused on both student support and extension. We offer Reading Recovery, sport and fitness programs, an Arts program and environmental program. Specialist programs include the arts, ICT, library and physical education. Classroom technologies continue to be upgraded with electronic smart boards used across the school. All students have access to computers and all year 5/6 students have individual netbooks. We have a strong wellbeing culture supporting our students and families in many ways. We have a Wellbeing Officer, School Chaplain and a KESO, along with an extensive Kindergarten-Prep transition program.
