Warrnambool East Primary school is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in teaching and learning at every level. We have a reputation for innovation in teaching and learning and we also provide quality learning programs in other curriculum areas. Our programs are designed to cater for the individual needs of a diverse range of students. We deliver this with a staffing (EFT) profile of 1 Principal, 26.9 teachers and 9.5 ES staff. Our "Learning How To Learn" program has been used as a model in many schools throughout Victoria and some interstate. This is combined with a comprehensive anti-bullying strategy to maximise student engagement and well-being. ICT is used throughout the school to enhance learning across all areas. Staff are also well versed in the use of ICT to record and collect data and to make use of this in informing decisions around teaching to meet individual needs. Parents feel a strong connectedness to their school and support all school community functions. We have a ready band of volunteers for classroom assistance, school council duties and a myriad other activities as they arise.
