Hawkesdale is located in south-western Victoria and offers a comprehensive curriculum program from Prep to Year 12 addressing the learning needs of students in a stimulating and supportive environment. The curriculum is enriched by specialist programs and a broad range of extra-curricular activities. In the later years, the school offers a variety of vocational and academic pathways for students. We are widely recognised for the innovative & comprehensive approach taken to the implementation of technology in the classroom and the support provided to promote student learning. The school is located on a large site with well maintained facilities that cater for a range of activities and programs. Recent building projects have provided new classrooms in addition to improved facilities in our multipurpose hall. Our school has Literacy coaches working with our staff to improve student Literacy outcomes, with a focus on collection and analysis of performance data, and the targetted implementation of teaching strategies. Our theme for our current Strategic Plan is ‘Dare to achieve’.
