Diamond Creek East Primary School (DCEPS) has a population of 422 students with 38 equivalent full time staff, 2 Principal class, 24 teachers and 12 Educational Support staff. Students are organised into 18 classes with specialist subjects in the areas of music, PE, art and AUSLAN. DCEPS's vision is to provide a vibrant and engaging culture where lifelong learning and continuous improvement is nurtured. We aim to promote individual excellence and encourage responsible global citizenship. We are a school community committed to developing and implementing high quality learning and teaching. Our beliefs are based on the core values of Dedication, Care and Excellence, and are supported by the You Can Do It foundations. DCEPS enjoys a high parent participation in all aspects of school life, including classroom programs and formal and informal school operations. Our comprehensive curriculum is centred on literacy and numeracy, and is supported by extra curricular programs which include: Crossage Tutoring, Reading Recovery, Additional Assistance, Joining the Chorus, and PreSchool Library. ICT plays a major role with a 1:1 Netbook program for all year 5/6 classes. DCEPS recently completed a significant BER building project which includes a well equipped Library and Learning Neighbourhood facility.
