Brooklyn Public School is a small school situated on the upper Hawkesbury River operating with four classrooms and a well resourced school library. We are the most northern school in the North Sydney Region adjacent to the F3 halfway to Gosford from Berowra. The school motto is Deeds not Words and the school's mission statement is to Grow. We endeavour to provide a happy and safe environment through well designed programs which encourage student independence, leadership skills and recognition of student achievement. We have programs in sport, peer groups and environmental education. We operate creative arts programs after school for students in a range of areas such as dance, musical instruments, art and media studies. We have a very supportive Parents and Citizens Association as well as an active School Council. The Brooklyn P & C Association have a Kids Club operating three days per week for before and after school care from Monday to Wednesday in the school grounds. The school also has an independent long day care centre in the grounds with a capacity of 16 pre-school children.
