St Leonard's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational school in Glen Waverley in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. St Leonard's, established in 1959, aims to provide an environment where people show respect and concern for one another based on the values of Christ and the gospel. The school has an enrolment of approximately 280 students housed in modern facilities. The school's Vision Statement is deliberately short and succinct - 'Aspiring to Excellence'. The aspiration to excellence covers curriculum philosophies, teaching and learning styles, student wellbeing and physical facilities. We commit ourselves to a learning environment that is technologically and academically progressive by providing the opportunity to experience success in the pursuit of excellence. The school employs a number of support staff and specialist teachers to maximise student learning. These include a Wellbeing and Learning support team of seven staff as well as music, PE, Italian and library teachers. We have an actively engaged parent body and an extremely supportive parish community who offer both spiritual and financial support to the school.
