Sacred Heart Primary Cabramatta is a Catholic systemic school within the Archdiocese of Sydney and is located in south-west Sydney. In living their charism, “to bring to each person the love, the tenderness and concern of Christ” the Sisters of Charity established the school in 1935. Our catholic beliefs, values, practices and traditions continue to be enlivened within our faith filled community as we strive to live our school motto 'Learn of Me’. The core values of the school are to foster the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of each person whilst providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum which links faith and culture. Through a caring and supportive environment we aim for the students to know and love God whist providing a quality education enabling them to undertake a journey of life-long learning. The school achieves its mission through valuing each individual and by providing challenging opportunities and relevant and stimulating learning programs, integrating technology across the curriculum. As a multi-cultural school we have a strong emphasis on the teaching of literacy and numeracy, which is supported by a wide variety of contemporary technological resources. Our curriculum encompasses both a swimming and gymnastics program along with inter-school sports. The Smarter Schools National Partnership initiative assists our school to further develop contemporary pedagogy and provide resources which optimise student learning. Partnership with parents and the wider community occurs through involvement in a variety of school activities and parent forums. Students are encouraged to be actively involved in the life of the school through the School Leadership Program. Charitable works and social justice initiatives allow students to support the wider community as they further the charism of our school founders in our contemporary world.
