Bungwahl Public School is a small school which has served an isolated rural community since 1876. Its academic, cultural and sporting experiences build upon past achievement and provide present challenges. We value learning, communication, respect and safety. The tranquil location of the school offers a range of opportunities for environmental study. At the same time its distance from other educational facilities places specific demands on the school finances. The school motto ('Achieve with Pride'), our mission statement and the school song, embody the purposes, ideals, attitudes and expectations towards which all members of the school community strive. The school implements a number of very successful national programs including the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program and the Active After School Sports Program. We are also a skipping display team for the National Heart Foundation, the only one in NSW which includes all students K-6.
