Bambara Primary School located in the northern suburb of Padbury, maintains an enrolment of around 200 students. Recent carpet and painting refurbishments, has given the school, opened in 1978, a fresh new look. A new Early Childhood building will open in 2010. We implement teaching and learning programmes that foster the development of the whole child. We provide all students with the opportunity to develop their intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth. Student learning in Literacy and Numeracy is taught by teachers with a thorough understanding of the strategies and processes required to ensure students progress. Japanese, Health, Physical Education and Music are taught by specialist teachers. The choir and band add an exciting dimension to our school. They perform in many forums. The well resourced Library and IT area are integral aspects of the campus. Our multi-cultured school has an inclusive approach to all activities that we undertake, with behaviour management closely linked and underpinned by a strong Values focussed programme. The air conditioned school is well supported by an active Parents and Citizens Association.
