St Patrick's School in Katanning is a Catholic Primary School catering for 170 students from Pre Primary-Year 7. The school was established in 1926 by Our Lady of the Missions Sisters. The school acknowledges parents as the primary educators of their children, and aims to further develop each child intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually, creating lifelong learners who have the ability to draw upon processes and skills, to cope with future technologies in a changing society. Specialist programs exist in the areas of Art/Performing Arts, LOTE (Italian), Physical Education, Computing and Library. A broad range of extra-curricular activities in sport, music, drama, and a wide range of academic competitions are also offered. Inter-House sporting competitions, and many student leadership experiences highlight the quality of pastoral care provided to all students. Progress in the implementation of RAISe principles has been very positive, and St Patrick's School is also now able to offer Reading Recovery to identified children. St Patrick's aims to emulate Jesus through its motto of "Concern" by engaging children, teachers, parents, community and the parish to work together in a supportive environment.
