Thomas Carr College is a large co-educational Catholic secondary college situated in Tarneit with approximately 1170 students in Years 7 to 12. The College was established in 1997 and serves the Parishes of St Peter Apostle, Hoppers Crossing, St James the Apostle, Hoppers Crossing North and St Andrew's Werribee. At Thomas Carr we aim to be active and explicit in promoting student well-being. Thomas Carr sees it as part of our core business to provide opportunities for student participation, communication and engagement which can increase students' self esteem and build school connectedness. We provide many opportunities for students to be involved with extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including inter-school sports, athletics, swimming, debating, public speaking, chess, the Duke of Edinburgh program and performing arts. At our senior years we offer both the VCAL and the VCE programs with over 33 VCE and 10 VET subjects available to the students.
