Parade College is a large Catholic secondary school for boys in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. There are two campuses, in Bundoora and Preston. Parade College has an open-entry enrolment of approx 1,800 students from a large number of parishes in the northern suburbs. We pride ourselves in our commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, with an effective pastoral care system centred on vertical groupings where students are cared for by the same teacher for 3 years. Parade College has the benefit of 140 years specialist experience in boys' education in combination with staff expert in implementing strategies, skills and knowledge crucial to the 21st century. We offer students a strong and very comprehensive range of VCE subjects and a wide range of alternative vocational pathways through VET, VCAL and trade courses. Our innovative ExCEL Year 9 program provides both the challenge and experience of independent learning, personal development and independent travel skills critical in developing young men. We provide many opportunities to our students to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities, including music, dance, debating, musical and theatrical productions public speaking and sports. Parade College's community action program is a key expression of our Catholic values and embeds our links in the local community, with students from all years active in many areas of social justice. Our facilities include a recently upgraded performing arts theatre and a new Trade Training Centre situated on extensive grounds with numerous sporting facilities. Our extensive Student Support Department specialises in helping students with special needs and provides substantial programs both in advanced placement learning and in supporting students with learning difficulties.
