Mercy College offers a world of opportunities to the young woman of today'wherever her imagination takes her'. A Catholic secondary college for young women in the northern suburbs, it was established in 1965 and now has approximately 730 students. Education at Mercy is inspired by the gospel values of love, service, and justice, and the Mercy tradition of striving for excellence in an environment of compassion and caring for students and their families. The Mercy vision is that each student will become a socially responsible, compassionate, critical and articulate young woman who will make a difference to the changing world in which she lives. Students are encouraged to become life-long learners, to accept responsibility and the duty to lead and to serve. Mercy College is large enough to offer a comprehensive curriculum, yet small enough for each young woman to be known and valued. Prayer and faith development are an integral part of the life of the College. Parents are encouraged to form a partnership with the College to ensure that their daughter's years at Mercy are a happy, challenging and fulfilling time of growth and learning.
