Mullauna College is a middle-sized co-educational secondary school in Mitcham. Our vision for our students is that they will graduate as responsible young people who value and respect learning. The College is committed to investing in digital technology, infrastructure and hardware along with the development of curriculum in order to embed the use of digital technologies in teaching practice. Mullauna’s Information Technology and Communication infrastructure includes both PC and MAC platforms. As well as three IT labs, Notebooks, Netbooks, macbooks, ipads and ipods are available for use in classrooms. Our wireless network provides students with easy access to superfast internet connections. This enables our staff to deliver innovative and engaging curriculum programs. In Years 7-9, in addition to the core curriculum, cross-curricular teams deliver inter-disciplinary programs specifically designed for each year level. These programs are underpinned by rich assessment tasks which integrate the use of digital technology. The Challenge, iLearn and Skillz programs encourage independent learning, develop time management skills and cater for different learning styles. The College implements a High Achievers Program in English and Mathematics through Years 7 to 10 in which higher-performing students are challenged and extended in their learning. We also offer English as a Second Language and deliver an International Student Program. In Year 10, our students broaden their horizons with access to a range of curriculum choices supported by core subjects.
