FCJ College is a Catholic co-educational secondary college conducted by the Society of Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus. The College has a proud tradition of providing quality Catholic education in Benalla for 110 years. We offer a strong academic program in a caring, well-disciplined environment. Our philosophy is founded on the values of the gospels, our Catholic tradition and the charism of FCJ Society. In 2010 FCJ College launched a 1:1 student laptop program. This important transition has changed the delivery of our curriculum, reduced the reliance on text books and brings the wide range of technologies available in today's world into the classroom. Such endeavours better prepare our students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Our school offers strong pastoral care, education support for special needs, and a full careers education program. Our transition program commences in grade five, providing care for our students well before they commence at FCJ College to ensure the best possible transition. Our junior school curriculum gives every student experience in all subject areas. In the middle years an extensive, structured elective system gives students increased choice which helps them to choose their pathways through the senior years and onto further education or employment. FCJ College consistently achieves strong VCE results, and at our senior school we aim to continue to broaden the pathways available for students including alternative studies in vocational and applied learning. FCJ College will continue key capital development into the coming years to cater for increasing enrolments and updating facilities for the 21st century. The school continues its significant capital works program, which has provided new art and technology facilities, upgrades to general teaching areas, science rooms and most recently a new Language Centre and Senior Centre.
