Student learning is our core educative purpose with our motto, 'Strive for the Highest', underpinning our work. Enrolments continued to be very strong and were at capacity at most year levels. We had 99.1 equivalent full time staff: 4 Principal Class, 94 teachers and 20 Education Support Staff. The school provides an innovative Year 7 and 8 program as well as a community linked program at Year 9.The school attracts overseas students and has a growing number of students requiring English as a Second Language (ESL) support. Our Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program (SEALP) continues to grow and together with a strong program of support for students with learning difficulties we continue to cater well for students of all abilities. The wellbeing of students is provided for through a strong and positive House system, counselling services and Health Centre. Students have an extensive co-curricular program to engage them, including a highly acclaimed Music program, sporting, camping, debating and leadership opportunities. There is significant interest in our post compulsory programs and pathways, with strong enrolments in VET and VCAL. VET Music, Multimedia and Outdoor Recreation are delivered at the school. The school became a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in 2010 to support the delivery of VET programs. We began the Building Futures process in 2010 to complete the school Master Plan and the specialist Victorian BioScience Education Centre (BioLAB) will be opened on site in 2011 as a state wide resource.
