Roslyn Primary School is a caring, inclusive, supportive learning environment, where priority focus is on educating the whole child within all areas of academia whilst maintaining awareness of the physical, social and emotional needs of our children. We are an inclusive school for parents and community encouraging involvement and participation. The school operates in a middle class socio -economic environment with special needs students across grade levels. Our results reflect the broad range of students in our cohort and their differing abilities and background. Our programs cater for the various student learning styles and gives the children the opportunity to explore, experiment, take risks all within a supportive and encouraging environment. Our school has 175 students, housed within the current timber building in large well maintained, attractive grounds. Our new student learning centre is due for completion in 2010 with classes beginning in these in 2011 This will complement our learning spaces and allow us to create larger more flexible learning areas for our childrenin both buildings We have invested heavily in technology with every classroom having a SmartBoard, access to a bank of 20 wireless laptops, a lab of 25 desktop computers and our current Year 6 children having their own netbook computer as part of a DEECD pilot program.
