The school is active in the Walbundrie Small Schools Network. The school has a sustainable vegetable garden, the Live Life Well @ School Program and the Active After School Communities program. Extensive school grounds and landscaped gardens provide an attractive learning and working environment for all students, staff and community members. Rand Public School provides a focal point for the local community via use of its facilities. A highlight of the year is the P and C and Community organised Football and Netball Carnival. This annual event sees junior football and netball teams from far and wide converge on the town for competition and social interaction.
