Our purpose: Auburn Primary School encourages positive contributions to personal, local and global learning communities. We consider and respect others, and foster high levels of literacy and numeracy, and the ability to think logically, critically and creatively. Student learning is our central focus. Explicit, differentiated teaching and engaging, interesting learning activities support our students to be happy, well rounded, confident members of their community. Embedded school values, a focus on continuous improvement and innovative ICT applications all foster skill development. We have high expectations for all our students, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy. Learning improvement plans, based on data, aim to meet students’ developmental needs. Utilising student interests, and adopting an inquiry approach to learning, allows us to build on prior knowledge and extend concepts, knowledge and skills across all curriculum areas. Committed staff review their professional practice, identify student strengths, and target improvements to personalise learning and engage and challenge all learners. This school has 24.8 equivalent full time staff: 2 Principal class, 21.6 teachers and 10 Education Support staff who work in partnership with parents to support students to succeed within our learning community.
