Deer Park West Primary School is striving to improve the learning outcomes and engagement and wellbeing of all the students who enter our school. The school has 28 equivalent full time staff: 1 Principal, 1 Assistant Principal, 22 teachers and 5.75 Education Support staff. The school’s motto 'Pride in Achievement’ is the cornerstone of what we as a learning community aim to achieve. The Government School Performance Summary for 2010 is a celebration for the school in all key indicators. We are achieving at a similar level or higher than predicted, given our students' backgrounds. Our challenge is to continue this standard of work and move our community on to further levels of high achievement. We will be entering the third year of our strategic plan in 2011 and complacency in our work will not be considered.
