At Eltham East Primary School we are committed to providing a nuturing & caring environment which supports and inspires our children to value learning & grow in self awareness & social responsibilty. Our strong Student Engagement Policy ensures all of our children are able to reach their potential. With our motto of Learning and Growing Together, the school & community form an interdependent partnership, with all members; students, staff & parents, living by & modelling our school values of Respect, Teamwork, Learning, Environment and Enjoyment. We have 40 equivalent full time staff: 2 Principal class, 33 teachers and 7 Education Support staff working with our 492 students. Our curriculum embraces an acclaimed music program, including an internationally recognised choir; physical education; art and Japanese. Eltham East boasts a learning environment which includes large treed grounds, a native plant area, gymnasium, music room and computer centre. We have Mac computers throughout the school and in the computer centre. A new library and learning precinct was completed in 2010. Our Prep learning area has also been recently revamped to include adaptable learning areas and interactive whiteboards.
