St Pius’ Primary Enmore is a single-stream Catholic systemic school educating boys and girls in their primary years. There are currently 178 students enrolled at the school. St Pius’ school rejoices in the diversity of cultures present within the school. The school achieves its mission by preserving its strong Catholic identity, maintaining its ongoing commitment to its Outreach programs, and promoting an environment of welcome and inclusion for all stakeholders within the community. The school works closely with the Parish Priest in continuing to build a strong and vibrant parish/school community. St Pius’ School offers a child-centred and challenging curriculum which aims to cater for the different learning styles and learning needs of all students in a happy and nurturing environment. In order to maximise the learning outcomes for all, students are organised in staged groupings. Learning spaces have been created to reflect and support contemporary pedagogy and our belief in the effectiveness of professional learning teams. Students utilise a range of digital technologies to extend their learning and their access to global connections. The school’s Stage 3 Leadership Program provides invaluable opportunities and experiences for students to develop their leadership capacity and self-confidence in preparation for secondary school. Recent building projects have seen the refurbishment of classrooms into large, open, flexible learning spaces and the construction of a much used multi-purpose hall/gymnasium, together with the refurbishment of the playground with playground furniture and play equipment. Strong early intervention procedures have been established to scaffold student learning across all Key Learning Areas.
