Banyule Primary School is located in Rosanna, Victoria, and is an important part of a very close local community. Our purpose is to develop self-reliant children in an innovative and vibrant learning environment. Our values include Respect, Responsibility, Doing your Best and Care and Compassion. We have 10 class rooms that cater for our 230 students. Banyule has 12 equivalent full time staff, 4 Education Support staff and 1 principal . We offer specialist subjects for art, music and cultural awareness. Class teachers take PE and sport regularly to support our Healthy Kids policy. Information technology is considered very important with banks of computers and interactive white-boards in every class room. We have a whole school focus on sustainability to reduce water, energy and waste. We have a fantastic science/kitchen room which is fully equipped with all necessities. Our new $2 million dollar 'learning neighbourhood' includes a well stocked library, quiet learning spaces, a computer hub and four spacious and stimulating classrooms. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for the needs of individual students through a rigorous assessment process and a well-planned curriculum based on VELS. We have a supportive school council who, along with the staff, are pro-active in providing the best possible learning environment for all children. Our teachers are passionate and dedicated to making school life as enjoyable and as successful as possible for each and every student.
