Lyndale Greens Primary School is determined to pursue continuous improvement for all students. In 2011, we expect an enrolment of more than 520 students. We promote social, emotional, academic and physical growth and believe effective learning occurs in a caring and supportive atmosphere. Core programs of literacy and numeracy are complemented and enhanced by the provision of opportunities for participating in the performing arts, multi-cultural celebrations, sporting activities, school camps, environmental and science groups and state wide programs for students with particular talents and interests. We aim to identify individual student needs and differentiate learning activities to meet these needs. We utilise a range of information and communication technologies to enhance the learning program. Literacy enhancement, ESL, and other specialist programs such as Physical Education, Music and French support our commitment to a well balanced curriculum for our students. With the growth of our school we continue to revise and develop our approach to student wellbeing to ensure all students feel safe and are engaged in the curriculum. Our parents continue to support our comprehensive range of school activities. During 2010, we have focussed on developing a whole school, consistent approach to the teaching of literacy and numeracy with the aim to continue to improve student learning outcomes. The school's set of values; 'respect', 'honesty', 'Friendliness', 'motivation' and 'empathy' are central to all policy and decision making. These values give emphasis to the co-operative and caring nature of the school's ethos, and promote recognition of a positive and consistent attitude and a strong sense of responsibility and respect for all. During 2010-2011, the school is scheduled for an exciting rebuild. Once completed, our students will be learning in modern, flexible learning spaces.
