Oberon South Primary School is a friendly, multi-cultural primary school situated in Belmont. The school shares a boundary with our neighbouring school Oberon High School. Currently the school has an enrolment of 82 students. Our school motto is; Co-operate Achieve Succeed. We have 7.26 full-time staff: 2 Principal class, 5.26 teachers and 2 Education Support Staff. Our newly refurbished learning areas are open, flexible learning spaces, where students and teachers work collaboratively to maximise learning.Through detailed ongoing assessment and monitoring we are able to focus our teaching to meet each child’s particular learning needs. Our children are grouped flexibly and creatively to cater for their ever changing needs. Teachers in our school are committed to working in a team to best achieve improved student and teacher learning. Literacy and Numeracy are priorities in our school and Information Technology is used as a tool to enhance learning across all areas. Our school’s goal is to provide a seamless transition for each child’s learning journey. We aim that our students and families feel welcomed and comfortable within our community from when they begin school with us and that they feel totally prepared, confident and ready to undertake their transition to secondary school as they leave us.
