Numeralla Public School is a small rural school situated on the Numeralla River in a small village with no retail services. It is 22 kilometres east of Cooma. There are currently 33 students enrolled and the school continues to enjoy a steady pattern of growth. There is a strong parent-school partnership and active community involvement with the school. Numeralla Public School is proud to provide an inclusive culture and a stimulating learning environment. It has a particular focus on literacy and numeracy and has provided additional support for programs such as Count Me In Too to improve student outcomes. In 2011 Numeralla Public School will be part of the Low SES National Partnerships program. The school participates in the Premiers Sporting program providing a variety of sporting opportunities and gross motor programs. The creative arts are fostered through music, visual arts and drama. Numeralla Public School has a small band and presents a musical production at the end of each year. The school is part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. This is integrated across all key learning areas to reinforce significant and relevant learning experiences. The school practises the 'Fish Philosophy' as an integral part of the welfare and discipline policy. Numeralla Public School is supported by the Country Area Program (CAP) and as the motto states, it is "A Place We Like".
