Our Lady of Mount Carmel is an historic school that has catered for the needs of the Sunbury township for almost 150 years. We are a small, welcoming community with parents playing a vital role in assisting with the delivery of the curriculum. Our school has a strong Catholic identity with gospel values underpinning our school ethos. We aim to promote a positive Catholic culture where we live out our vision of being 'Forever Faithful'. Our Vision Statement espouses: 'Through learning we strive to reach our full potential, confident to be risk takers, accepting of mistakes, happy to celebrate together our collective and individual successes'. We provide an inclusive curriculum catering for students' individual needs. The school implements a number of programs including: The parish sacramental program, Children's Literacy and Success Strategy (CLaSS) and Success in Numeracy Education (SINE). Staff provide support for students in a variety of curriculum areas including English, mathematics, Japanese, physical education and performing arts, and also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as Kelly Sports, keyboard and chess.
