St. Dominic's School is a single stream parish based school located in the suburb of Innaloo and was founded in 1957 by the Dominican Sisters. The school is rich in the Dominican Traditions - its motto the term "Veritas" or truth. St. Dominic's has a fully operational playgroup as well as catering for children from Kindy -Year 6. The school is well equipped and offers a comprehensive, innovative and child-centred Catholic education. The school also has a number of programs dedicated to achieving educational excellence. Some of these are Mathletics, Lexile Reading and extension classes. The school provides support for those children who find difficulty in consolidating concepts taught, and this is achieved through the RAISe philosophies and the EMU programs. The school has support staff in Library and research skills, Information and Technology, Computing, Physical and Health Education, Music, Reading Recovery and Italian. A number of Education Assistants offer support in educational programs offered by the school. St Dominic's has a number of additional initiatives that support a rich Arts program. The school offers co-curricular options such as a musical tuition program for guitar and piano and a rock band, school choir, liturgical choir and liturgical dance group.
