Mosman Park Primary School is the only public school in the Town of Mosman Park drawing students from the suburbs of Mosman Park, Cottesloe and North Fremantle. The school is over 100 years old and is an important part of the local community. The school has a very strong and welcoming community spirit which is supported by the active School Council and Parents & Citizens Association. MPPS is a small school with an increasing enrolment and provides a quality and comprehensive educational program for students from Kindy to Yr 7. Specialist programs are offered in Music (Performing Arts group, Choir, Guitar program), LOTE (Japanese, Auslan) and PE (Fundamental Movement Skills). The Mosman Park School for Deaf Children is co-located with our primary school. This provides an opportunity for all primary students to engage in a Deaf Studies program and to learn and use Auslan (Australian Sign Language). Facilities at the school have been recently refurbished and students have access to a new computer lab with Smartboards in classrooms across the school. Major building works, which will include a new School Library and Early Childhood Classrooms, are expected to be completed by July 2010.
