Our Lady of the Assumption School is a Catholic co-educational primary school in Cheltenham, in the Pennisula zone of Melbourne with a current enrolment of approximately 450 students. Recent building development includes a multi-purpose hall, visual arts room, ICT room, six new learning spaces and refurbishment to the current library and administration areas. At Our Lady of the Assumption our religious education program is of the utmost importance and permeates the whole curriculum. We at OLA are a welcoming Christian community. We encourage our children to follow Jesus to love, serve and celebrate all that is good. Our staff are committed to providing an exciting, attractive and productive learning environment. We provide a broad and challenging Prep-Year 6 curriculum using the 'Inquiry Approach' to meet the needs of all students. Our specialists programs include Japanese, Physical Education, Visual Arts and Library. The school is involved in many sporting activities and has been strongly represented in zone district events. Equally, there is an appreciation of the Arts and many students participate in the instrumental music program, choir and vocal group.
