Our school places every learner at the centre to ensure that all students achieve success in their learning. Our purpose is to create an inclusive, safe, high quality learning environment which fosters development of a love of learning, self esteem, ability to take on challenges, positive attitudes and children who strive for excellence in lifelong learning. Our school is central to our community; we all share the responsibility for the education of our students. We actively encourage our community to be involved in all aspects of our school. Being a smaller school we have an all composite class structure. Our learning programs cover the VELS domains with strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy at all levels of the school. Porepunkah offers Italian as the LOTE program and a specialist classroom mathematics program. We have 1PCO, 5.9 teachers and 3.0 ESO staff. In 2011 we will benefit from brand new facilities from our building program. These include open plan classrooms and a fabulous new multipurpose learning centre. In addition we offer guitar and piano tuition through local music teachers. In term 3 we offer a ski program as part of our Physical Education for students in Years 3 to 6. We offer a camping program for all students with onsite activities for Prep and Year 1 and off site camps at local venues for Years 2 and 3 and a three year rotation of venues for students.
