Coniston Public School is an inner Wollongong city school with a proud history of acceptance, cooperation and friendship amongst its highly diverse cultural body of staff, students and community. The school’s student population consists of nearly 70% of children from language backgrounds other than English with 16% of the total student enrolment being from refugee backgrounds. The school hosts a Special Education Unit, an Illawarra and South East Regional resource, which provides an intensive, integration program for 21 students with emotional/behavioural disorders.
