Heatherhill is situated in Springvale, with a current enrolment of approximately 221.This school has 21.91 equivalent full-time staff: 2 Principal Class Officers, 14.41 teachers and 5.51 Education Support Staff. The school is an integral part of the community and the student population is culturally and linguistically diverse. There is also a high level of transience. The school implements the priorities of the Victorian education system, emphasising the importance of providing all students with strong foundations in literacy and numeracy learning. The development of Personal and Interpersonal Learning utilising Inquiry, Thinking and Information and Communications Technology enables students to be well equipped for their futures.
