Cedar College is a ministry of Oakden Baptist Church. The name is derived from Psalm 92 v 12 which outlines the growth of a righteous person, pictured like a cedar tree. The cedar tree depicts that this person will be strong, vital and fruit bearing even in old age. Our desire is that students will be educated both academically and spiritually to enable them to make the right choices in life, that will produce in them, these qualities as they go through Cedar College and on into their adult lives. Cedar College was established in 1997 at Northgate, a new housing development, 8kms North East of Adelaide. The College currently caters for students from Reception to Year 12. The College was established in existing buildings that have been substantially renovated to provide excellent facilities including a 350 seat auditorium as well as a range of specialist rooms, 2 Court sprung floor sports centre and other outdoor sporting facilities. It is anticipated that enrolments will continue to grow as the housing estate that surrounds the school continues to be developed. Since 1997, enrolments have increased from 33 to the current 505.
