Sandy Creek Primary School is situated in the gateway to the Barossa Valley. It has a long and proud tradition, opening in 1878. The strength of our small school lies in our ability to build strong relationships with students and families and to provide a caring and nurturing environment for all students. Our motto is 'Responsibility, Respect and Excellence'. This is modelled in all aspects of schooling, including personal achievement, behaviour, skill development and community participation. Our priority areas of numeracy, literacy and Science are well-resourced in every aspect and we have a specialist Japanese teacher. The school community has made significant investment in IT infrastructure and staff training in ICT. Staff and students integrate ICT into learning programs at every opportunity and each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard. Sandy Creek Primary School has a world-class cultural exchange program which began in 1997 with a sister school in Japan. The program has now consolidated into an integral part of the school's culture. The school has been widely recognised and acknowledged for best practice in cultural exchange programs.
