Unley Primary School is an inner-suburb Reception - 7 school with an enrolment of around 470 students. Our school celebrates its cultural diversity, especially throughout 'Harmony Week'. There is a strong sense of community and a high regard for the arts programs. Music is a particular curriculum focus and strength. Italian and Greek comprise our languages program, along with mother-tongue options. Student well-being is at the forefront of our work and is reflected in a range of targeted programs across the school. These are supported by a coordinator in student well-being. A whole school 'smart start' program is taught at the beginning of each year. Successful Reception - 7 buddy and community service programs also exist. Our historic school buildings reflect our strong sense of heritage and pride. We have a positive student voice, where students can contribute to class meetings and to our Student Representative Council and build their confidence. Other areas on our school's site-plan include information and communication technologies, student learning through guided-inquiry, literacy and numeracy. The school is held in high regard within the local community.
