Plympton Primary School is situated between Adelaide city and the coast and is the oldest school in the western suburbs still operating on its original site. The school caters for between 250 and 300 students from 5 to 13-years-old. Students are grouped mainly in composite classes across the Reception to Year 7 range. We work collaboratively with our school community to provide a quality teaching and learning environment for all students. Our school's focus is on improving student achievement in literacy, numeracy and science. We value behaviours that reflect care, honesty, effort, respect and resilience. Our students are encouraged to engage in a variety of activities such as instrumental music and choir, competitions such as 'Tournament of Minds', Australian school competitions and special school events. Students actively participate in sporting activities. Our unique park like setting is attractive, and reflects the school's focus on the environment and sustainability. All our buildings have airconditioning. The school has shady playgrounds, a tennis/netball court, hall/gymnasium and a swimming pool. Our vision is to build a better future for our school communities.
