The Oatlands Primary School staff and community continue to retain a focus on the social and educational growth of our students. The school is committed to continuous improvement and promoting individualised learning within a positive environment whereby staff assume collective responsibility for the learning, personal and social growth of every student. Student wellbeing remains a priority of our school and is supported by a range of programs and strategies. There is a ongoing commitment to, and encouragement of parental participation in their child’s education. To support the academic and social development of our students our school offers small class sizes and 'straight grades' at all grade levels. An extensive range of social enhancement programs cater for the ongoing enrichment of all students. The Oatlands School Council is very active and committed to improving the school’s facilities to enhance and cater for our student’s learning and social needs. The development of our facilities has included the construction of additional classrooms, a large Art/Craft Centre, a fully equipped Kitchen, a Computer Studio and a Before/After School Care Facility all have been constructed within the school grounds. Currently under development is our new Library. The school is also fully air conditioned. In 2010 Council determined to construct a roof over the two basketball courts which now offers our students protection from the weather and offers a large and safe play area. Over the next 12 months further upgrades to our basketball and volleyball courts will occur.
