At Hilliard State School a common approach to developing effective citizens for the future is linked to the six Cs: Care, Cooperation, Consideration, Courtesy, Common Sense and Courage and by explicit teaching of habits of the mind through 'Program Achieve: You Can Do It!' By developing an understanding of these values students are provided with a tool to reflect on their own behaviours, take responsibility for their own actions and evaluate their future choices. In addition to the eight key learning areas, we also offer additional activities that align with our school philosophy of Provision of Opportunity.
