Woombye State School (est. 1885) is a co-educational school which has an enrolment of around 400 students from Prep to Year 7. Our teachers are committed to planning and preparing thoroughly in order to actively engage students in all curriculum areas. Staff are supportive of one another, the students and the community and a sense of pride in the school is enhanced by the genuine care and compassion displayed by all staff. Our Prep to Year 7 curriculum program is established using the essential learnings of the eight key learning areas. This is well-supported through a gifted and talented program, early intervention strategies and learning and special needs support. English and Mathematics will always remain the core focus of the teaching program. Our school is actively involved in many community events, from various interschool sporting competitions, to 'Tournament of the Minds', 'Six of the Best', community choir and Instrumental Music presentations, ANZAC Day services, CWA competitions and local partnerships with Council and State Government bodies. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in our school, in the classroom as well as part of our highly motivated P and C Association.
