Corpus Christi Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 co-educational Catholic Primary School, which is situated at Bellerive on the Eastern shore of Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania. At present we have around 460 students. The school was founded by the Presentation Sisters, who conducted it from 1936-1986. Since 1987, the school has been under the leadership of lay principals. We aim to guide students in their relationship with God, assist students to develop their academic abilities and capabilities, encourage students to take responsiility for their own learning, provide equity and equal opportunity for our students and provide an education that will help to provide for the future of our students. Teachers work in teaching teams, sharing ideas and planning together to differentiate the curriculum. We provide many leadership roles for our Grade 6 students including peer-mediators, school-leaders, mini Vinnies, buddy groups and Aussie sport leaders, also for participation in extra-curricular activities for all students in the school. We continue to support outreach programs such as Caritas, Catholic missions and the Archbishop's Samaritan project. We aim for all in the school community to be aware of and make use of the gifts that God has given them.
