St Patrick's Primary School, Geelong West was established in 1911. St Patrick's consist of Heritage Listed buildings and older-style classrooms, now mixed with contemporary and modern modular buildings to house our growing student population. Our school is in the Parish of SS Peter and Paul and is within a cluster parish grouping with our Parish Priest. This Cluster consists of Holy Family and Holy Spirit Parishes and schools, which geographically abut our boundaries. Our partnerships through the Parish in a Social Justice Program have helped to strengthen our links with the parish and the other parish primary schools as well as give action to our faith. We recently revisited our vision statement to one that we feel reflects what is actually underpinning all that happens in our community. Our Leadership Group has undertaken the 'Building Leadership Capacity' Program to give this team direction to, in turn, give direction to our school community. Our current foci includes assessment practices, better student achievement, continued development of the VELS, building on our strong community partnerships and improving student well-being and engagement.
