St Edwards Primary School is a K-6 Catholic primary school in the Bathurst Diocese and in the Central West town of Canowindra. We have just celebrated 100 years of Catholic education in the town. At St Edward’s School our mission is to foster academic excellence and school spirit through recognising and valuing each person’s gifts and talents and endeavouring to ensure that Christian values pervade all areas of school. Our achievements include: Successful implementation of ‘Go Maths’ Program, Active participation and learning through new electronic whiteboards, targeting and building on HSIE/Science Literacy units, successful Music Program, positive support given to individual students requiring extra support with Literacy and Numeracy.The students of St Edward’s are constantly reminded about respecting the rights of others and being responsible for their actions. This year we participated in our Yr 6 and Kindergarten Buddy Program and were involved in community activities such as ANZAC Day March, ANZAC Day School Service, Community Art Competitions, Canowindra Show Displays.
